| Remarks | 1. The application fee is ¥35,000 for the First Round (On-Campus Examination) and ¥25,000 for the Second Round (Examination using the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students - EJU). 2. Tuition and fees vary by department (Tuition ranges from ¥830,000 to ¥1,100,000; other fees range from ¥200,000 to ¥380,000). 3. An annual fee of ¥10,000 for Associate Membership in the Nihon University Alumni Association must be paid. Additionally, in the graduation year, a ¥10,000 fee for the first year of Regular Membership must be paid. 4. Depending on the faculty, a Supporters' Association fee, Maintenance fee, etc., ranging from ¥10,000 to ¥40,000 will be collected annually (Academic Year 2026). At Nihon University, after enrollment, you may be asked to cooperate voluntarily in fundraising activities to support the enhancement of educational, research, and clinical infrastructure. 6. | Remarks | For the College of Humanities and Sciences, international students are eligible to obtain the qualification to take the Social Worker Examination; however, after acquiring the social worker qualification, they cannot obtain a work visa as a social worker. The English language test is required only for applicants to the Departments of Philosophy, History, Chinese Language and Culture, English Language and Literature, German Language and Literature, Sociology, and Mathematics within the College of Humanities and Sciences. A minimum passing standard is set for the oral examination; applicants who do not meet this standard will be considered unsuccessful even if their overall score exceeds the minimum passing score. *Please note that the contents of the entrance selection and examination may be subject to change. | Remarks | The Second Round targets applicants who have taken the "Japanese" section of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) in June 2025 or November 2025 and meet the following criteria: A total score of 300 or more in Japanese (Reading, Listening, and Listening-Reading). A total score of 40 or more in Japanese (Writing). Applicants to the Department of Sociology must have scored 140 or more in the Comprehensive Subjects (Japanese language) and 120 or more in Mathematics (Course 1, Japanese language) in the same EJU. Applicants to the Department of Information Science must have scored 130 or more in Mathematics (Course 2, Japanese language) in the same EJU. The Second Round is open to those who hold a valid Japanese residence status meeting the following conditions: The status of residence is not "Temporary Visitor". The period of stay extends beyond the day after the enrollment procedure deadline for the Second Round (March 12, 2026). For the Department of Social Welfare, international students are eligible to obtain the qualification to take the Social Worker Examination; however, after acquiring this qualification, they cannot obtain a work visa as a social worker.
