Humanities and Social Sciences

★We have a system in place to exempt foreign students from entrance fees!
Foreign students who enroll in our university's regular courses are eligible for a full exemption of the entrance fee.
To utilize this system, certain conditions must be met, and an application is required at the time of applying.

[Faculty Features]

This faculty encompasses the change of human psycology, the education of the children who will create the future, and welfare-the biggest need of the times. The goal is to provide educational nurturing to woman who will then contribute to society, equipping them with a global perspective, discernment, energy, and a wel-rounded character.

Department of Psychology

Psychology allows us to understand the human mind and behavior scientifically. Using clinical, social, developmental, and cognitive approaches, students can acquire an unbiased, basic knowledge of psychology with a broad perspective. Increased knowledge is attained and developed through carefully designed research and fieldwork.

Department of Social Welfare

We educate our students to attain a deeper, scientific understanding of people and society and, to contribute to the building of a happier social environment. The department has three courses: Social work, Careers in Welfare, and Child care.

Department of Elementary Education

Through a variety of different courses and programs, we help our students to attain a deep knowledge of elementary education. The cultivation of interpersonal skills, compassion and leadership is prioritized to help our students pursue their careers. There are two courses; Kindergarten and Elementary School, and Kindergarten and Nursery. Both courses qualify graduates to obtain double licenses in their chosen track.

Department of Contemporary Liberal Arts

Students attain a deep knowledge of social science and widen their perspectives through three interdisciplinary courses: Modern society, Economics and Management, and International Society. Critical thinking skills are honed to properly grasp and analyze today’s issues. Courses in English and Japanese, advanced computer literacy, and communication skills further enhance their capabilities.
