<Scholarships for International Students>
1. Entrance fee waiver scholarship
International students enrolling in a regular course of study at the university are eligible for a full waiver of the entrance fee.
Certain conditions and an application at the time of application are required to use this system.
2. Tuition fee waiver system for privately financed international students
Tuition is reduced or exempted for international students who meet certain conditions and are enrolled in a regular course of study, depending on their academic performance.
The tuition reduction rate ranges from 20-60% depending on the GPA of the semester immediately prior to the application.
The tuition reduction rate for the first semester of enrollment is a flat rate of 30%.

| Remarks | The various fees differ depending on the department. 【Fees】 Department of International Liberal Arts Studies: ¥392,400 Department of International Studies: ¥412,400 Department of International Japan Studies: ¥392,400 All of the following programs can be used in combination. <Scholarship Programs for International Students> Admission Fee Exemption Scholarship This scholarship grants a full exemption of the admission fee for international students enrolling in regular programs at the university. To utilize this program, certain requirements must be met and an application must be submitted at the time of application. Tuition Reduction Program for Privately Financed International Students Applications are accepted each semester (in April and October). All international students who meet the two conditions below at the time of application are eligible and may receive a tuition reduction of 20% to 60% based on their GPA for the previous semester (GPA standards differ between undergraduate and graduate schools). For students other than new entrants, tuition is billed after the reduction has been applied. <Eligibility Conditions> Both of the following conditions must be satisfied: 1. The applicant is enrolled in a regular undergraduate or graduate program at the university and holds a “Student” residence status. 2. The amount of monthly support (excluding tuition) is ¥90,000 or less on average, or, if supported by a person residing in Japan, their annual income is ¥5,000,000 or less. <Tuition Reduction Rates> The rate of tuition reduction is determined based on the applicant’s GPA for the semester immediately prior to application. *For only the first semester after enrollment, a uniform reduction rate of 30% is applied.
