The Faculty of International Studies consists of three departments: the Department of International Liberal Arts, the Department of International Studies, and the Department of International Japan Studies.
In the Department of International Liberal Arts, studying abroad at Showa Boston, the university's overseas campus, is mandatory. The department also encourages students to combine this with a recognized study abroad program ("Boston + Approved Study Abroad"), allowing them to study around the world with the U.S. as a base.
