Approximately 60% of the full-time iCLA faculty are foreign nationals and almost all classes are held in English. iCLA’s Bachelor of International Liberal Arts has majors in Data Science, Global Business and Economics, Interdisciplinary Arts, Japan Studies, Political Science, and Psychology, and equips students with more than just technical knowledge, giving them the soft skills required to succeed in modern society. iCLA promotes an interdisciplinary approach and encourages its students to connect knowledge across disciplines with the aim of cultivating the critical thinking and cross-cultural communication skills necessary to tackle problems from complex and integrated viewpoints. In addition to the academic pathways in their chosen major, iCLA students have the additional freedom to choose any combination of elective courses they like from the subject areas of Sociology, Quantitative Reasoning & Natural Sciences, Physical Education, and Japanese Language. By doing so, iCLA students can discover their own potential and strive towards their career and personal goals.
At iCLA, students have the opportunity to study abroad at one of our partner universities for either one semester or a full academic year. iCLA collaborates with over 60 universities across more than 30 countries and regions, most of which offer a wide range of courses in English.
Students can choose their study destinations from our extensive network of exchange programs, tailored to their academic goals. Additionally, to maximize the study-abroad experience, iCLA provides friendly one-on-one consultations with faculty and staff.
Through studying abroad, students can broaden their international perspectives, explore new and exciting countries or regions, connect with like-minded individuals worldwide, and enrich their cross-cultural experiences. Another highlight is that the exchange program operates on a reciprocal tuition waiver basis, making it a cost-effective option for studying abroad.
Note: Some partner universities may limit exchange opportunities to specific faculties.
