There is no minimum score requirement for the Japanese language section of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) as an application qualification (taking the exam is mandatory), but applicants are expected to have Japanese language proficiency equivalent to a score of 300 or higher (including the writing section) on the EJU at the time of application

Remarks Applicants must have a total score of 300 or higher in the Japanese language section (Reading Comprehension, Listening Comprehension, and Listening-Reading Comprehension) of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) taken in November 2023, June/November 2024, or June 2025, or have passed N2 or higher of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).
