Remarks The Department conducts a two-stage entrance examination. The first-stage examination is held on October 18. Remarks There is no minimum Japanese language score requirement for the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) as an application qualification (taking the exam is mandatory), but applicants are expected to have Japanese language proficiency equivalent to a score of 300 or higher (including the writing section) on the EJU Japanese language test at the time of application.

Remarks Application Eligibility:
* Must have scored 300 points or higher (including the writing section) on the Japanese as a Foreign Language section of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), OR passed the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at level N2 or higher.
* Must have taken one of the following tests—TOEFL iBT® (including TOEFL iBT® Home Edition), IELTS™, or TOEIC® L&R—on or after November 2024.

[Admissions Eligible for the "Toyo University SDGs International Student Ambassador Program"]
This program certifies privately funded international students as "Toyo University SDGs International Student Ambassadors" and provides support for tuition/fees and housing. Eligible students are those who possess the drive and capability to contribute to global society in various ways toward achieving the SDGs, and who commit to engaging in SDG-related activities and initiatives that foster globalization—both on and off campus—after enrolling at the university.
1. TOEFL iBT® (including Home Edition): Score of 79 or higher under the old scoring format (for those who took the test on or before January 20, 2026) OR an overall band score of 4.5 or higher (for those who took the test on or after January 21, 2026); IELTS™ (Academic Module): Score of 6.0 or higher; OR TOEIC® L&R: Score of 780 or higher.
2. The content of the "SDGs Action Plan" (part of the application documents) is judged to be outstanding.
