Remarks ● For the Graduate School of Commerce, applicants whose native language is not Japanese must have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at the N2 level or higher, or the Practical Japanese Test (J.TEST) at the C level (600 points) or higher (within the A–C level exam, which has a maximum score of 1,000 points). However, applicants whose native language is Japanese must submit a "Letter of Confirmation of Native Japanese Proficiency" issued by the Graduate School of Commerce at the time of application.
● The second application period for the Graduate School of Commerce is open to individuals holding a Japanese residence status who meet the following conditions: ① The residence status is other than "Temporary Visitor"; and ② The period of authorized stay extends beyond the day following the enrollment procedure deadline for the second period (February 27, 2027).
● Applicants to the Graduate School of Commerce must submit a "Confirmation of Prior Contact" form, which is issued upon obtaining the consent of their prospective academic supervisor. Please check the Faculty of Commerce website (https://www.bus.nihon-u.ac.jp/graduate_school/) for details and submit a request to verify your research content by August 1 (Saturday) for the first period, or by November 18 (Thursday) for the second period.
● Applicants to the Graduate School of Commerce who require an eligibility screening must apply for a preliminary review with the Graduate School of Commerce Admissions Section (Academic Affairs Division). ● Native Japanese speakers, or those uncertain about their native language status, should contact the Faculty of Commerce Academic Affairs Division via email (bus.gsb@nihon-u.ac.jp) by August 1 (Saturday) for the first application period, or by November 18 (Thursday) for the second application period.

1. An annual associate membership fee of 10,000 yen for the Nihon University Alumni Association must be paid. Additionally, the first year's regular membership fee of 10,000 yen must be paid during the academic year of program completion.
2. Depending on the graduate school, annual fees such as support association fees or maintenance fees (ranging from 10,000 to 40,000 yen) may be required (as of the 2027 academic year). Please check the guidance page on the online application website for details.
3. To support the infrastructure for education, research, and clinical activities, the university plans to request voluntary contributions to fundraising initiatives after enrollment.
