| Remarks | ● The 2nd Application Period for the Graduate School of International Relations is open to individuals holding a Japanese residence status who meet the following conditions: ① The residence status is other than "Temporary Visitor"; and ② The period of stay is valid until at least the day following the enrollment procedure deadline for the 2nd Period (March 6, 2027). ● Applicants to the Graduate School of International Relations must have a preliminary interview with their prospective research supervisor before submitting their application. Please consult the Graduate School’s website to identify a prospective supervisor and confirm their availability to provide supervision and their research field; then, be sure to request a preliminary interview via email (irb-soudankyomu@nihon-u.ac.jp) by July 22 (Wed) for the 1st Period or by November 27 (Fri) for the 2nd Period. (Please note that requests for preliminary interviews may be declined depending on factors such as a mismatch in research supervision fields or the nature of the proposed research theme/content.) ● The Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) scores accepted are as follows: For the 1st Period, scores from the June 2025, November 2025, or June 2026 exams are accepted. For the 2nd Period, scores from the June 2025, November 2025, June 2026, or November 2026 exams are accepted. 1. An annual associate membership fee of 10,000 yen for the Nihon University Alumni Association must be paid. Additionally, a fee of 10,000 yen covering the first year of full membership must be paid during the academic year of program completion. 2. Depending on the graduate school, annual fees such as supporter association fees or maintenance fees (ranging from 10,000 to 40,000 yen) may be required (as of the 2027 academic year).
