| Remarks | For the Second Application Period, applicants must meet the following conditions regarding their residence status in Japan: 1.The status of residence must not be “Temporary Visitor.” 2.The period of stay must be valid beyond the day after the enrollment procedure deadline for the second period (i.e., March 7, 2026). Applicants to the Graduate School of International Relations must have a preliminary interview with a prospective academic advisor before applying. Please check the Graduate School website to confirm available supervisors and research fields, and apply for a preliminary consultation by email (ir-kyomu@nihon-u.ac.jp) no later than July 22, 2025 for the first period or November 26, 2025 for the second period. (Depending on research fields or themes, a preliminary interview may not be accepted.) Submission of a “Pre-Contact Confirmation Form,” issued with the approval of the desired advisor, is required for application. The applicable Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) results are as follows: ・First Period: June 2024, November 2024, or June 2025. ・Second Period: June 2024, November 2024, June 2025, or November 2025 1.An annual fee of 10,000 yen for Associate Membership in the Nihon University Alumni Association must be paid. In the year of completion (graduation), an additional 10,000 yen for the first year of Regular Membership is also required. 2.Depending on the graduate school, additional fees such as Supporters’ Association Fees or Maintenance Fees (ranging from 10,000 to 40,000 yen annually for the 2026 academic year) must also be paid.
