Introduction of Studies Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Considering human- and earth-friendly machines.
Mechanical engineering is the study of the planning, design, and manufacture of new, safe, easily-used machines.
Up until recently, mechanical engineering has focused on efficiency for the machine’s users, without regard for the effects the machines had on the Earth’s environment. As a result, resources were depleted, and natural environments were polluted. Now, research in the field of mechanical engineering pursues not only convenience, but the development of machines that can co-exist with the planet and operate using very low amounts of energy. In order to achieve these goals, collaboration with fields such as chemistry, biotechnology, and medicine are essential.
