Remarks Applicants must not possess Japanese nationality (those with permanent residency are not eligible), must be at least 18 years old by April 1, 2026, and must meet either of the following requirements ① or ②, as well as requirement ③:

① Those who have completed 12 years of regular school education outside Japan (including those expected to complete such education by March 31, 2026), or those deemed equivalent by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan.

② Those who possess a foreign university entrance qualification such as the International Baccalaureate, Abitur, or Baccalaureate.

③ Those who have obtained a score of 200 or higher in the “Japanese as a Foreign Language” section (excluding the writing section) of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) administered by JASSO, or those who have been certified as having passed N2 (Level 2 of the former test) or higher in the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) administered by JEES
