1) Those who have completed 12 years of formal education in a foreign country (including those who are expected to complete it by March 31, 2022), or those who have been designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as equivalent thereto.
2) Holders of foreign university entrance qualifications such as International Baccalaureate, Abitur, Baccalaureate, etc.
3) Applicants must have a score of "Japanese" (total score of "Listening Comprehension" and "Listening and Reading Comprehension", excluding "Writing") of Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) conducted by Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) or must be certified as N2 (Level 2 of the old test) or higher in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test administered by the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES).
