We would like to introduce interviews with senior students enrolled in the Center for Japanese Language and Culture at Aichi Shukutoku University.

At Aichi Shukutoku University, students can build a solid foundation in Japanese language and academic skills through the CJLC program before progressing to undergraduate programs.

Some of you may feel, “My Japanese level isn’t high enough yet, so applying directly to an undergraduate program seems difficult…”

If that sounds like you, we encourage you to start by reading these interviews and getting a real sense of student life at Aichi Shukutoku University. You may find helpful insights to imagine your own future.

Q：留学生別科の良いところは？
A：色々な国の学生と一緒に授業を受けるので、新しいことをたくさん学ぶことができます。日本語の授業以外にも、華道など、日本の文化を楽しめる授業もあります。また、学内で行われるイベントも多く、そこで新しい友達もできました。最初は日本語を聞き取るのが難しく、大変でしたが、先生方が優しくサポートしてくれるのがうれしかったです。

Q：愛知淑徳大学に留学を考えている人にメッセージをお願いします！
A：海外での生活は、不安でいっぱいかもしれませんが、愛知淑徳大学では、困った時に大学から色々なサポートをいただけます。また、勉強ばかりではなく学内でのイベントも多く、楽しみながら学ぶことができます。もし日本に留学することになったら、ぜひ沢山友達を作ったり、色々な場所を訪れたり、美味しい食べ物を食べたりして、たくさんの思い出を作ってください。学内のおすすめスポットはグローバルラウンジです。ぜひ行ってみてください！

Global Lounge—interact with Japanese students while having fun

The concept of this lounge is for it to be a place to encounter diversity while staying on campus. Students can read travel magazines, manga, and newspapers, and play over 35 different board games that are useful for language learning, allowing for interactions with Japanese students while having fun.

Community Collaboration Center—for all the off-campus volunteer information

The Community Collaboration Center provides opportunities for volunteer activities and social contribution activities by connecting students with various groups outside the university, such as local communities, companies, and local governments. This is the place to broaden your horizons and take your thoughts of wanting to try something new and change yourself, or wanting to put the specialized knowledge you acquired in your undergraduate studies into practice in the field, and turn them into concrete actions.

Cafeteria and kiosk

The Hoshigaoka Campus has two cafeterias and one kiosk. Prices are reasonable, and many students come together here during lunch hours.
