Substantial Financial Assistance Programs

Kwansei Gakuin University offers the following financial assistance for international students.

■KGU Pre-enrollment Reserved Scholarship for International Students (for first-year students)
…All First-year students who meet certain conditions will receive 25-100% (※)of the set amount depending on the School.

■KGU Academic Scholarship for International Students (for second-year students and above)
…This scholarship is offered to second-year students and above, determined by the previous year's grades. 25-100%(※) of the set amount depending on the School will be offered to qualified students.

(※)Information on the scholarship amount and tuition cost simulations for first-year students enrolling in 2025 will be available on the below website in late June.

Job hunting and career support from the Career Center

The Career Center provides career and job hunting support for current students.
Offering thorough career guidance from the early years of our students’ university life and providing career support, approximately 90% of international students who wish to work in Japan have found employment (based on data from undergraduate graduates between March 2019 and March 2021).
In addition, Kwansei Gakuin University students as a whole, including Japanese students, have repeatedly ranked first in Japan in terms of actual employment rate.
In recent years, the Career Center, Center for International Education and Cooperation, and the Center for Japanese Language Education have been working together to develop a support system specially designed for foreign students.

Housing support provided by the Residence Center

The Residence Center works to promote education for international understanding and improve student services in the dormitories, with the aim of cultivating "Global Citizens who embody 'Mastery for
Service'" through communal dormitory living. Below is a list of some of the support provided by the Residence Center.
