KUAS provides several dormitories that are located on or near campus and each room is fully furnished, making it easy for international students to begin their lives in Kyoto. Residents of the dormitory hail from many different countries, allowing students to deepen their understanding of diverse cultures and values.
KUAS offers two types of scholarships for students who enroll in the faculty of Engineering.
Super KUAS-E Scholarship: Stipend (for personal expenses)
1,200,000 JPY/year + Tuition exemption (100%) + Admission fee exemption (100%)
KUAS-E Scholarship: Tuition reduction (100% or 50%) + Admission fee reduction (100% or 50%)
All international students who apply for KUAS' undergraduate and graduate engineering program can apply for our two types of scholarships. Students can apply for them during a predetermined application period. If a student is awarded a scholarship, they will simultaneously receive a notification with their admission offer. Kyoto provides a stimulating, unique environment for building a career, and we embrace the presence of globally top-performing mechanical and electronics companies headquartered in Kyoto. With this in mind, KUAS' career support team and internship team will assist our engineering students to become engaged with these industries and inspire them to explore the landscape of great career opportunities in Japan. Students can also participate in overseas internship programs or get jobs abroad.
Besides job hunting, our international office helps to provide a pathway for students who would like to try studying abroad with one of our partner universities from around the world.
