YNU is located almost at the center of Yokohama, in Hodogaya Ward. The campus is a 15- or 20-minute bus ride from Yokohama Station, a 15-minute walk from Mitsuzawa-kamicho Station (Yokohama Municipal Subway), or a 20-minute walk from Wadamachi Station (Sotetsu Line).

Central Library

The Central Library is located at the center of the campus. It is the largest support center for students and researchers of the university with a substantial collection (about 710,000) of books, journals and multimedia materials.

The building was renovated in April 2003, and has an area of 12,000 ㎡. The Central Library has more than 1,100 seats and more than 100 computers. It also has many kinds of facilities, such as the Information Lounge, which is available for various students’ activities, the Media Hall for multipurpose use, the Working Studios for group study and Café which is popular among students for lively atmosphere.

International Student Center

The International Student Center provides Japanese language course and Japanese culture course for international students while conducting short-term student exchange program and classes exclusively for international students or classes which international students and Japanese students are taught together. The Center also offers advice on daily livings for international students and information on studying abroad for Japanese students.
