Master’s Program

The Graduate School of Economics has established two courses to meet the needs of a diverse range of students, with our Researcher Course and Advanced Professional Course.

Doctoral Program

In both the doctoral program and the master’s program, we offer one major—a Major in Economics, Management and Finance. We aim to produce individuals who will be engaged as researchers active in research institutions such as universities and think tanks. Students will work under the guidance of a supervisor to decide upon a research theme and produce a doctoral thesis. Students wishing to complete their doctoral thesis while working can, upon discussion with their supervisor, attend classes outside the regular school time (such as evening and Saturday afternoon classes).

Master’s Program Advanced Professional Course
Helping students gain the advanced specialized knowledge expected by our society.

This course is suitable for both working adults and students advancing from undergraduate studies who want to gain highly specialized knowledge that they can actively apply in society immediately upon graduation.

Master’s Program Researcher Course
For students intending to enter the doctoral program and become researchers.

Students are required to write a master’s thesis on the premise that they will advance to the doctoral program. Students will consult with their supervisor to select subjects and decide upon a research theme.
