Political Science
Examining political movements to find a better way of life.
Political science concerns the study of the essence of public organizations and of various social systems for the pursuit of fulfilling lives for the people of society.
Governments are deeply involved in many aspects of our society. In the study of political science, an awareness of the issues and effects related to government policy is necessary, such as how different groups of people are affected by an increase in consumption tax.
Recent studies in political science are concerned more with the actions of governments, rather than their structural organization. Research efforts have concentrated on the collection and analysis of data related to the specific actions and results of government policies. Computer-based analysis of large amounts of data has become an essential part of creating policy models that meet the needs of the people.
Political science studies in Japan once focused only on the government of Japan, but in recent years the governments of the Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe have also been subjects of research, in addition to studies related to international peace and international cooperation.
