Kansai University Japanese Language and Cultural Program Preparatory Course (Bekka)

Kansai University Minami-Senri International Plaza was opened in April, 2012, and is equipped with the latest facilities for students in the Bekka program as well as dormitories for international students. It is conveniently located, and downtown Osaka can be reached with a train ride of 30 minutes or less. Even so, it is surrounded by greenery and very quiet, with many amenities for students to live rich lives during their stay. Also, Kansai University’s main campus, Senriyama Campus, is only 15 minutes away by bicycle.

Bekka Program and Classroom Building

Kansai University’s Bekka program makes use of ICT and e-learning for studies both in and out of the classroom. Students can develop IT skills while learning Japanese at the same time. For these purposes, all classrooms, as well as the terrace, gardens, and dormitories are all equipped with wireless LAN connectivity.

Minami-Senri International Plaza International Student Dormitory

The dormitory is primarily occupied by students of the Japanese Language and Culture Program Preparatory Course (Bekka) and international students studying at Kansai University. Resident Assistants offer support for dormitory students in their daily life.
All dormitory rooms are single occupancy, with 6-7 students living in a unit system with shared lounge and kitchen facilities. This unit system provides an environment for spontaneous interaction with other students in the dormitory as part of everyday life.
There are also many opportunities for cultural exchange with people from the local community through the various events that are held.
The dormitory fee of JPY48,000 per month includes electricity, gas, water, linen leasing fee and the Internet. (As of 2021)
