2026 Intake Deadlines
The opening and closing dates for our two 2026 intakes have also been announced and are as follows:
Spring 2026 intake (April start)
Applications open now.
Application deadline Monday, November 17th, 2025.
*Holders of a current Japanese passport or residence visa can apply for our Spring intake until January 23, 2026.
Fall 2026 intake (September start)
Applications open Mon. September 1st, 2025
Application deadline Monday, April 13th, 2026.

As one of the newest buildings on YGU’s Sakaori campus, the iCLA building is designed to help students make most of their studies. Facilities in the building include a cafeteria, a student lounge, a music studio, art studio, and numerous study areas for individual or group study. All classrooms are designed using glass walls to reflect the openness of the liberal arts program. The building is also furnished with a traditional tatami room for students to practice arts like Japanese tea ceremony, as well as a dojo for various martial arts.
All students live on-campus for their first year to experience more fully a rich student life. Both international students and Japanese students reside together, so students can have an opportunity to make friends from all parts of the world. Connected to the iCLA building, our student accommodation is safe and convenient.
The Language Acquisition Center (LAC) is a language learning facility established to support the language education of iCLA’s students. In addition to using the latest equipment and facilities for independent learning in the four areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking, students can also use facilities for group study, TOEFL and other examination-tailored learning and for consultations with trained language learning advisers.
