Temple University, Japan Campus:Two Tokyo area Locations. One Temple Experience.

In recent years, TUJ has experienced record growth, strengthening its position as one of the leading international universities in Japan.

Located just outside of Shibuya, our current campus (City Campus) is home to more than 3,300 degrees seeking students from around the world. In January 2025, TUJ expanded to Kyoto, where nearly 350 students are already studying in one of Japan’s most culturally rich environments.

Now, beginning in August 2026, TUJ is taking another major step forward with a second Tokyo area location: the Hillside Center in Mizonokuchi (Kawasaki) -- just three express stops from Shibuya.

With two Tokyo area locations working together, you’ll enjoy the energy of central and suburban Tokyo area alongside the comfort, safety, and expanded learning environment of our new 8-story Hillside Center.

We invite you to be part of the next chapter of Temple University, Japan Campus.
