Must have completed, or be expected to complete by March 2026, 12 years of education abroad equivalent to Japanese upper secondary education, or be designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) as equivalent to this. This includes: 1. Those who have passed a certification test recognized by the government of their country as equivalent to completing 12 years of education, and are at least 18 years old. 2. Those who have completed preparatory education courses or facilities designated by MEXT (such as at the China Returnee Support and Exchange Center) that are organized with necessary subjects for entrance into a Japanese university. (2) Must have sufficient Japanese language ability to understand lectures conducted in Japanese. (3) Must be able to obtain a "student" visa status at the time of admission (April 1, 2026). (4) For the second admission period, must be residing in Japan at the time of application. (5) Must have a guarantor who meets the university's requirements. Application method: Applications must be submitted in person at the Admissions and Public Relations Office. Applicants and guarantors must bring the application documents and the examination fee of ¥30,000 in cash. If the guarantor cannot accompany the applicant, a power of attorney from the guarantor (format not specified) must be presented by a proxy.
