Applicants whose native language is not Japanese are required to prove their Japanese language proficiency at the time of application by submitting one of the following documents. Please note that since our university is a correspondence (online) university, this is not a requirement for obtaining a student visa. Submission of one of the following certificates to prove Japanese language proficiency: (1) A copy of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) certification for N1 (Level 1) or N2 (Level 2) (2) A copy of the score report for the Japanese Language section of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), excluding the writing section but including reading, listening, and listening-reading comprehension totaling 200 points or more (Only for examinees who took the examination by 2020. For those who took it from 2021 onwards, we will confirm scores via the EJU Online Score Confirmation System, so please enter your examinee number on the “Required Documents Checklist” included in the “Application Set” (see details on p.4).) (3) A copy of the BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test score report with 400 points or higher ● In the Faculty of Information Management, Global IT Leader Course, students can watch video lectures in two languages (Japanese and English) for specialized subjects of the faculty. Although the credit recognition exams and quizzes, as well as texts on the online learning system, are in Japanese, students may use translation software at their own responsibility. Application from Overseas Residents Distance study from overseas is possible. However, please be sure to check the notes on application procedures and required environment on the website before applying. Communication with the university during enrollment will be conducted primarily through the online campus “@CAMPUS.” Contact by phone or postal mail will not be provided. The mailing address for student cards and certificates is limited to domestic addresses within Japan. Points to Note at Admission Since this is a correspondence university, a visa is not issued based on enrollment. You can work in Japan after graduating from a Japanese language school while studying. If you have internet access, you can study in your own country and obtain a Japanese degree. Many students study while living outside Japan.
