| Remarks | An individual interview in Japanese including reading aloud and comprehension of past Soai University entrance exam questions from “Basic Chemistry” or “Basic Biology” (questions taken from the 2025 exam posted on the official Soai University website). Applicants must select either “Basic Chemistry” or “Basic Biology” at the time of application. The interview is scored out of 100 points. Applicants must have taken the examination in either the 2024 or 2025 academic year. They must have scored 200 points or higher out of 450 points in the Japanese section (reading comprehension, listening/listening-reading comprehension, and writing). In place of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), applicants may meet the application requirements by either: Passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at level N2 or above, or Meeting the qualification criteria in the qualification certification test conducted by Soai University on October 19, 2025. Instead of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), applicants may meet the application requirements by either: Achieving the above-mentioned score in the Japanese section of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), or Meeting the qualification criteria in the certification test conducted by Soai University on October 19, 2025.
