・Computer-delivered IELTS is accepted.
・Only the Academic Module is accepted.
・IELTS Online is not accepted.

Scores from the One Skill Retake are not accepted. Only scores obtained before retaking the exam are valid.

For applicants residing in countries or regions where the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) is not administered, the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) may be accepted as a substitute for the “Japanese” section of the EJU. In this case, you must meet the faculty-specific requirements regarding the JLPT and related matters. (Please check the application guidelines on the Chuo University website for details.)

Scores from either the first or second Examination for Japanese University Admission (EJU) of the 2026 academic year will be used for the admissions decision. Please refer to the entrance examination guidelines on the Chuo University website for details regarding the EJU.

Remarks (2)
Applicants must have taken one of the following tests within the two years prior to the application period and achieved the specified minimum score: TOEFL iBT (56 or higher for tests taken on or before January 20, 2026; 3.0 or higher for tests taken on or after January 21, 2026), TOEIC L&R (550 or higher), or IELTS (4.5 or higher).
