*For residents of countries or regions where the "Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students" (EJU) is not administered: If you take the "Japanese-Language Proficiency Test" (JLPT) Level N1 in the 2nd session of the 2025 academic year (December) or the 1st session of the 2026 academic year (July), this may serve as a substitute for the EJU (please check the latest information in the entrance examination guidelines on the Chuo University website).

Remarks (1)
Scores from either the first or second Examination for Japanese University Admission (EJU) of the 2026 academic year will be used for the admissions decision. Please refer to the entrance examination guidelines on the Chuo University website for details regarding the EJU.

Remarks (2)
Applicants must have taken one of the following tests and achieved the specified minimum score: TOEFL iBT 42 or higher (for tests taken on or before January 20, 2026) or 3.0 or higher (for tests taken on or after January 21, 2026); TOEIC L&R 480 or higher; or IELTS 4.5 or higher. The test must have been taken within the two years prior to the first day of the application period.
