1) Applicants must meet the Japanese proficiency standards in one of the following exams: Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT): CEFR B1 or higher (must have taken the N3 level and scored 104 points or higher); Examination for Japanese University Admission (EJU): 200 points or higher in the "Japanese" section (excluding the writing section); or BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test: 400 points or higher.
2) For the Department of Japanese Language and the Department of Chinese Language, a Japanese proficiency assessment will be conducted following the interview; similarly, for the Department of English and American Language, an English proficiency assessment will be conducted following the interview.
3) Applicants who have achieved CEFR B2 or higher on the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) are exempt from the university's own Japanese language examination.
