Remarks | Application Eligibility Applicants must meet one of the following Japanese language proficiency requirements. Please note that to be eligible for (3), applicants must be recommended by the principal of the Japanese language school they are attending. (1) Applicants who have passed the N2 level or above of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) or have received a score of 200 or above for the "Japanese as a foreign language" test (excluding the writing section) of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU). (2) Applicants who have passed a test that measures Japanese language proficiency other than those listed in (1) above, and have received a score equivalent to having passed the N2 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) (3) Applicants who are deemed to have a Japanese language proficiency equivalent to (1) or (2) as judged by the principal of the Japanese language school the applicant is attending. Applicants must be able to receive a recommendation and proof of Japanese language proficiency from the school principal. Applicants can sit the examination at two examination sites nationally, either in Tokyo or in Niigata. |
