Tuition fee: 29,700 yen /month The “Research Student Program for Enhancing English Proficiency” is a system that allows students to improve their English proficiency through the university’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) intensive program before enrolling in the graduate school. Even if an applicant’s English proficiency does not meet the graduate school’s admission requirements, it is possible to enroll as a research student if it is determined that intensive English study will enable the applicant to pursue studies at the graduate school. After studying in the EAP program for about one semester and acquiring the required level of English proficiency, the student may reapply to the graduate school. However, admission as a research student does not guarantee acceptance into the graduate school. If an applicant is deemed unsuccessful due to insufficient English proficiency, but the university considers them suitable for this research student program, notification of eligibility for the program will be provided at the same time as the admission results. Please note that this program is available only to those who hold Japanese nationality, special permanent residency or permanent residency in Japan, or a status of residence such as “College Student” (excluding short-term stays). |
