The EAS Program has been the main gateway for short-term students to study at Musashi University since its inception in 2003. The program features a diverse offering of English language content courses from academic fields including business, economics, history, international relations, media studies, philosophy, politics, sociology, and technology. In addition, students can enroll in Japanese language courses ranging from complete beginner through advanced levels.
The JLT provides out of class support to international students. JLTs are Musashi degree-seeking students who have passed a course on Japanese language teaching methods to assist international students.
Student volunteers work in cooperation with the GEC and provide a range of support services to international students to ensure that their transition to Japan, and Musashi University, is smooth and enjoyable.
Organized through the GEC, these day trips have been a feature of Musashi’s international programming since 2004. The destinations take students around the greater Tokyo metropolitan area and neighboring prefectures. The walkabouts aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere giving international and Japanese students not only the opportunity to socialize with each other but also to discover areas of Japan they might not have otherwise explored. Walkabouts typically are held three times per term; usually on the third Saturdays of April-June and September-November.
