Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) You must pass the N1 (Level 1) or N2 (Level 2) examination.
Remarks To be eligible to apply based on Japanese language proficiency, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

1. Have scored 240 points or higher out of a possible 400 in the Japanese section ("Reading Comprehension" and "Listening/Listening-Reading Comprehension") of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) administered in either the first session (June) or the second session (November) of the 2026 academic year.
2. Have passed the N1 or N2 level of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) in the first session (July) of the 2026 academic year.
3. Have passed the N1 level of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) in the second session (December) of the 2025 academic year AND have scored 240 points or higher out of a possible 400 in the Japanese section ("Reading Comprehension" and "Listening/Listening-Reading Comprehension") of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) administered in either the first session (June) or the second session (November) of the 2026 academic year.
4. Applicants who have passed the N2 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) in the second session of the 2025 academic year (held in December) AND who have achieved a score of 240 or higher out of 400 in the Japanese section ("Reading Comprehension" and "Listening/Listening-Reading Comprehension") of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) in either the first session (held in June) or the second session (held in November) of the 2026 academic year; OR applicants who took the N1 level of the JLPT in the first session of the 2026 academic year (held in July) and achieved a total score of 90 or higher out of 180.

*Documents certifying the test results mentioned above (1–4) must be issued and obtained by the application deadline.
