Remarks < Eligibility >

A female who does not hold Japanese nationality, who satisfies the following (1), and who meets one of the conditions (2) through (4), and who strongly wishes to study at this university:

(1) A person who holds, or who can obtain by the time of university admission, the status of residence of "Student" (留学) under the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act, and who falls under one of the following:

① A person who has completed a 12-year course of school education in a foreign country, or who is expected to complete such a course by March 31, 2027, or a person who has completed a course designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) as being equivalent thereto.

② A person who has passed a national qualification in a foreign country that is recognized as a certification examination for determining whether the examinee has academic ability equivalent to that of a person who has completed a 12-year course of school education in that foreign country.

③ A person who has completed, in a foreign country, a course of a school corresponding to a high school (limited to a course whose graduates are recognized as having completed 11 or more years of schooling in that foreign country's school education, or who otherwise satisfy the standards specified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) that is separately designated by the Minister.

④ A person who has obtained the International Baccalaureate Diploma, the Abitur, the French Baccalauréat, or a GCE A-Level.

⑤ A person who has completed a 12-year course at an educational institution accredited by an international accreditation body (WASC, CIS, ACSI, NEASC, Cognia, or COBIS).

⑥ A person who has graduated from a high school or equivalent in Japan, or who is expected to graduate by March 31, 2027.

(2) A person who has obtained a total score of 200 or above in "Reading Comprehension, Listening, and Listening-Reading Comprehension" of the Japanese as a Foreign Language subject of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), administered by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) in either the 2025 or 2026 academic year.

(3) A person who has passed N1 or N2 of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) administered by The Japan Foundation (incorporated administrative agency) and the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES), and who has achieved CEFR level B2 or above (in the case of N2, a score of 112 or above).

(4) Among persons who are enrolled in a high school or Japanese-language education institution in Japan and who have passed N2 or N3 of the JLPT and achieved CEFR level B1 (in the case of N2, a score of 90–111; in the case of N3, a score of 104 or above): a person who is assessed by the head of a high school or Japanese-language school in Japan as having Japanese-language proficiency equivalent to CEFR level B2 or above (an N2 score of 112 or above), and who is able to obtain certification and recommendation to that effect from the said head.
