Scored approximately 220 points or higher (including the writing section) in “The Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU)” administered by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) between June 2024 and June 2025,
or

Attained a proficiency equivalent to passing Level N2 of the “Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)” administered by the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES) between July 2024 and July 2025.*

* Tests considered equivalent to JLPT N2 level (administered in 2024–2025 academic years) include:

Japanese NAT-TEST: Level 2

Test of Practical Japanese (TOPJ): Intermediate A–B

J.TEST (Test of Practical Japanese): Level C

JPT (Japanese Proficiency Test): Score of 525 or above
