● Individuals possessing sufficient Japanese language proficiency to attend classes conducted in Japanese without difficulty.

● Individuals possessing Japanese language proficiency equivalent to level B2 or higher* as defined in the "Reference Framework for Japanese Language Education" by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
 * Qualifying levels/scores for various proficiency tests corresponding to B2 or higher (for tests administered in the 2025–2026 academic years):
 ・ Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT): N2
 ・ Examination for Japanese University Admission (EJU) (administered June 2025 – June 2026): "Japanese" (including writing section) – generally 220 points or higher
 ・ Japanese NAT-TEST: Level 2
 ・ Test of Practical Japanese (TOPJ): Intermediate A–B
 ・ J.TEST (Test of Practical Japanese): Level C
 ・ Japanese Proficiency Test (JPT): 525 points or higher

● Individuals recommended by a school principal or the head of a partner institution.
