Meet Sergey Gaponov, a first-year undergraduate student from Kazakhstan who is building a tangible future in robotics at the Faculty of Engineering!
Sergey's journey began with his search for a university offering a top-tier engineering program taught entirely in English. He found his perfect match with us, noting that our strong industry connections provide the keys to living and working in Japan. Through our unique Capstone Projects, he works alongside real Japanese companies to solve practical engineering problems and gain invaluable experience.
When he isn't focused on rigorous physics and math studies, Sergey makes the most of his downtime by enjoying his vibrant life experiences in Kyoto, listening to hip-hop, and exploring the city with friends. He is also actively improving his Japanese language skills to ensure he is fully prepared for the Japanese job market after graduation.
Learn how KAUS' combination of an English-based engineering curriculum and intensive language support is helping students turn their childhood dreams into a professional reality.
