2023/07/20 Ryukoku University Japanese Culture and Language Program 
The "Hiroshima Peace Program 2023" for international students, co-sponsored by Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha Temple Hiroshima Betsuin and Ryukoku University, was held for the 25th time.
On the first day, a memorial service to mourn all war victims was held at Hongwanji-ha Temple Hiroshima Betsuin. International students placed wreaths and listened to a testimony from atomic bomb survivor, Megumi Shinoda, about her experiences of the atomic bombing.
The next day, students visited the Peace Memorial Museum, Atomic Bomb Dome, and the Peace Memorial Park.
The international student participants had many invaluable experiences during the Hiroshima Peace Program. We hope that each student will make the most of what they have learned from these experiences, think about what we can do for peace, take action, and communicate this to people around the world in order to avoid repeating the mistakes of the atomic bombing and war.
