Applicants must have obtained a score of 230 or higher on the Japanese language section of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) administered by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), or a total score of 110 or higher (for Level N1) or 150 or higher (for Level N2) on the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) administered by Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES) or the Japan Foundation, on or after the date two years prior to the day before the application period begins.
