New programs and scholarships for international students have been available since the 2025 academic year!

<Faculty of International Studies, Department of International Studies Track for International Students starts!>
This program is designed for international students. Students must take English and Japanese as their foreign languages.
EJU score criteria are not required! (Exams required)
After admission, students will receive an intensive Japanese language program, generous study support, and systematic career education, while enhancing their expertise and developing the skills required in a global society.

<Scholarships for International Students>
1. Entrance fee waiver scholarship
International students enrolling in a regular course of study at the university are eligible for a full waiver of the entrance fee.
Certain conditions and an application at the time of application are required to use this system.
2. Tuition fee waiver system for privately financed international students
Tuition is reduced or exempted for international students who meet certain conditions and are enrolled in a regular course of study, depending on their academic performance.
The tuition reduction rate ranges from 20-60% depending on the GPA of the semester immediately prior to the application.
The tuition reduction rate for the first semester of enrollment is a flat rate of 30%.

备注	Tuition and other fees vary by department. 【Tuition】 875,600–915,600 yen 【Other Fees】 372,400–402,400 yen All of the following programs for international students can be used concurrently. ＜Scholarship Programs for International Students＞ 1. Admission Fee Exemption Scholarship International students enrolling in a regular undergraduate or graduate program at our university are eligible for full exemption of the admission fee. To use this program, certain conditions must be met, and an application must be submitted at the time of enrollment. 2. Tuition Reduction Program for Privately Financed International Students Applications are accepted twice a year (in April and October). All international students who apply and meet the two conditions below are eligible. Tuition fees can be reduced by 20–60% depending on the GPA from the previous semester (the required GPA differs between undergraduate and graduate programs). For students other than new entrants, the invoiced tuition fee reflects the reduction amount. ＜Requirements＞ Both requirements below must be satisfied: ① The applicant is enrolled in a regular undergraduate or graduate program at our university and holds a “Student” residence status. ② The applicant receives an average monthly remittance of no more than 90,000 yen (excluding tuition); or, if there is a financial supporter residing in Japan, that supporter’s annual income must be no more than 5 million yen. ＜Tuition Reduction Rate＞ The tuition reduction rate is determined by the applicant’s GPA for the semester immediately preceding the application. *For the first semester after enrollment, a fixed reduction rate of 30% applies. Graduate students with a GPA of 3.2 or above, or undergraduate students with a GPA of 3.0 or above: 60% reduction Graduate students with a GPA of 2.8 or above, or undergraduate students with a GPA of 2.3 or above: 45% reduction Graduate students with a GPA of 2.3 or above, or undergraduate students with a GPA of 2.0 or above: 30% reduction Graduate students with a GPA of 1.3 or above, or undergraduate students with a GPA of 1.0 or above: 20% reduction

备注	Those who have a total score of 250 or more in the “Japanese (Reading, Listening/Listening & Reading Comprehension)” section of the 2024 or 2025 Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) are exempt. Remarks* English language for Department of Psychology and Department of Contemporary Liberal Arts. For Department of Contemporary Liberal Arts, questions about modern society instead of the essay. Remarks** Applicants must have a total score of 250 or higher in the “Japanese (Reading, Listening/Listening & Reading Comprehension)” section of the 2024 or 2025 EJU (those with JLPT N1 are exempt). Applications based on the November 2025 EJU are also accepted; however, if requirements are not met, the application will not be accepted. For the Department of Psychology, applicants must also take “Japan and the world” and “Mathematics (Course 1 or 2)” sections of the EJU (there are no score requirements for these subjects).
