The Faculty of Global Studies

The Faculty of Global Studies integrates international relations and area studies into a quest for "global studies." The field of International Relations includes two branches, International Politics and Civil Society and International Cooperation while Area Studies includes the two branches of Asia and Middle East and Africa.
Joining the global and local perspectives aims for a multi-dimensional understanding of the world. Study in the Faculty of Global Studies of Sophia University reflects this new comprehensive approach. Students are encouraged to take classes from different faculties and learn not only English but other languages as well.
