Accredited by AACSB International, the program is recognized for its academic excellence and meaningful social impact.
The MBA curriculum is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to succeed in global business. Continuously updated to meet the evolving needs of leading organizations, the program places a strong emphasis on sustainability, digital transformation, innovation, and business analytics. Ethical leadership and social responsibility are embedded throughout the curriculum, reinforcing IUJ's commitment to developing responsible global leaders.

The 12-month IMBA program curriculum is compact, rigorous, and demanding. We believe in building core competencies that enable managers to respond with innovative solutions for their businesses. Cases are predominantly used to better prepare managers to apply what they have learned to real business situations. The cases focus on issues in both advanced economies and emerging markets in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. At IUJ, students from diverse nationalities work, play, and learn together on a daily basis. Summer capstone courses are the final wrap-up for the IMBA program.

The Japan-Global Development Program (JGDP) is a two-year master’s program offered jointly by the GSIR and GSIM to provide students the opportunity to learn universal development and growth logic in the fields of politics, economy, and management, using Japan’s experiences in economic development and corporate growth as basic case materials.
The JGDP is not intended as a program to train Japan specialists. The logic and lessons from Japan’s experience, both successes and failures, from the 19th Century to date will help future leaders from abroad when they have to think about their strategy for development back home. Thus, the logic behind Japan’s experience can be applied to various global scenarios. That is why we call this program the Japan-Global Development Program. The JGDP enables Japanese students to explain their country’s development logically when they go abroad and helps them to play an active role as global leaders.

Our Digital Transformation Program (DXP) prepares future managers with strong capabilities in the technology domain. Digital transformation is not simply about implementing new digital solutions. Rather, we envision you as an “orchestra conductor” of DX initiatives - someone who can harmonize technology, business strategy, and organizational change.
You will develop the ability to leverage emerging technology trends and design effective technical blueprints. As a change agent, you will also take into account key business dimensions, including strategy, marketing, people, and the broader organizational environment. This holistic perspective will enable you to communicate confidently with leaders across all functional areas and align diverse stakeholders around a shared DX vision. Ultimately, you will be equipped to integrate these elements into a coherent and impactful transformation.
Upon graduation, a wide range of career paths will be open to you. You may become a business leader driving digital initiatives, an IT specialist advising on technology strategy and implementation, or an entrepreneur launching innovative technology ventures.

The purpose of ISEP is to provide opportunities with young people who wish to work as social entrepreneurs and contribute to solving sustainable social issues through business and NPOs, or who wish to work for social development in partnership with the private sector at international organizations and other aid organizations, to gain the knowledge, ideas, and connections necessary to take real action.
In addition to on-campus lectures, this practical program incorporates in its curriculum a trial business plan that simulates actual activities as a social entrepreneur through field study in developing countries or rural areas of Japan.
Social entrepreneurship, running one’s businesses, is a common career aspiration. Many students also aim for roles in international development/cooperation projects with organizations like the United Nations and JICA. This is why ISEP allows students to earn an International Organization Professional Focus certificate alongside their MSE degree.
