In principle, applicants must have completed—or be expected to complete—an accredited course (of one year or longer) at a Japanese language school. 2. Applicants must possess Japanese language proficiency at the B2 level or higher according to the "Japanese Language Education Framework (JF Standard)." * The B2 level is defined as a standard of "highly independent Japanese language comprehension and usage capability" and represents the proficiency required to attend university classes conducted in Japanese. * Major exams used to assess proficiency based on the "Japanese Language Education Framework (JF Standard)" include the JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test), JPT, BJT (Business Japanese Proficiency Test), and J-CAT. Please contact the Admissions Office if you wish to take the university's own Japanese language test. Additionally, if more than two years have elapsed since you took a proficiency exam, you will be required to take the university's Japanese language test. 3. In principle, applicants must have an attendance rate of 85% or higher. 4. Applicants must be able to promptly obtain a student visa after receiving an offer of admission. Applicants must understand the university's admission policy. Applicants who can demonstrate Japanese proficiency at the B2 level or higher—based on results from exams such as the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)—are exempt from the university's own Japanese language test. |
