备注 | Scholarship Selection for Privately Financed International Students: For privately financed international students applying for scholarships. (Prerequisites for scholarship application must be met.) Online application registration closes at 12 noon on the last day of the application period. Application documents must be submitted after completing the online application registration and paying the examination fee. Submitted application documents must be postmarked on or before the last day of the application period. Eligibility for application: Applicants must fulfil both conditions (1) and (2) below. (1) Applicants have been enrolled for a total period of 6 years or less in elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools or secondary education under the Japanese School Education Act. In addition, applicants must satisfy one of the following conditions: a)Have completed (or be scheduled to complete) a 12-year curriculum of schooling at an educational institution. b)Hold qualifications for foreign university admission (for example the Abitur, International Baccalaureate Diploma, etc.). c)Be recognized by J.F. Oberlin University as having qualifications equivalent to a) or b) above. (2) Applicants are required to have obtained a score equal to or above the scores listed below in any of the language qualifications exams specified for each college’s screening and selection procedures. Scholarship for Academic Excellence The scholarship is available to students in their second through fourth year of the bachelor's program. 21 students per academic year will receive 200,000 yen each for those who have made particularly outstanding academic achievements during their studies at the university. However, this scholarship cannot be combined with other on-campus scholarships of 100,000 yen or more per year. 2. Privately Financed International Student Scholarships (10-100% reduction for up to 4 years) This is a scholarship selection program for international students. This scholarship is designed to provide financial support to international students who have excellent academic records but have difficulty entering higher education due to financial reasons. If you are selected for the scholarship, your tuition will be reduced or exempted when you apply for admission. There is a screening process every semester for continuation of the scholarship. However, the scholarship cannot be combined with the MEXT Honors Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students and other scholarships from the university or other organizations of the same amount or more. 3. MEXT Honors Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students [For undergraduate and graduate students] This scholarship is administered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) for privately financed international students. This scholarship is provided to students who have excellent academic and personal records, but have difficulty in completing their studies due to financial reasons. The purpose of the scholarship is to further enhance the learning effectiveness of students and to promote the development of educational exchange, mutual understanding, and peace and friendship between Japan and other countries. The scholarship provides 48,000 yen per month for one year or half a year. |
