学生生活支助

Scholarships

We are preparing a scholarship of 300,000 yen at the time of entrance for the maximum of 10 (ten) international students with college student visa for October 2016 entry. The details will be announced together with the letter of acceptance.

After enrollment at YNU, students can apply for Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) “Honors Scholarships” and other scholarships.

Dormitories

All first year YCCS students will live in the Minesawa International Student Dormitory.

Minesawa International Student Dormitory (constructed 1992) has 110 single rooms (80 rooms for men and 30 rooms for women) and a maximum residence period is one year. The rent and maintenance fees for single rooms are 8,700 JPY/month.

Club activities

There are many athletic and cultural clubs that have officially registered with YNU, as well as unregistered groups devoted to many types of activities. International students are welcome to participate in clubs and groups which interest them.

Cruising, excursions and much more to enjoy

Through out the year, students can enjoy cross-cultural opportunities. Supporeted by many volunteers, students can take part in events such as excursions and attending football and baseball games. Students can also experience traditional martial arts such as Judo, Kendo (Japanese art of fencing), Iaido (sword-based martial art) or traditional Japanes arts such as Sado (tea ceremony) and Shodo (calligraphy).

Career Support

Once students graduate from YCCS, they can expect a variety of international career option, such as the following:
• Become a public official involved in international planning and development
• Work for international organizations and NGOs
• Become a future business manager
• Go on to graduate school
• Teach at international schools
• Become a regional leader as an engineer
• Work as an art director
• Build a career in the manufacturing industry, financial institutions, or other enterprises

YNU supports graduates in their search for a career path by holding seminars and other events to assist in their job-hunting efforts.
YNU holds employment support seminars and provides other assistance for job-seeking activities by international students in Japan.
