Remarks Edogawa University has established the following programs to encourage privately-financed international students from a wide variety of countries to come and study.
1. Reduced admission and facilities fees: The following incentive measures have been established to provide lower costs compared to general Japanese students. Admission fees are reduced to 120,000 yen for the first year, and facilities fees are reduced by 100,000 yen in the second semester of each year. The amount shown above is after the reduction is applied.
2. Tuition reduction program: Students who fulfill criteria for their grades may apply by themselves for a reduction in second semester tuition. The application procedure is provided every year around June. The tuition is reduced by 210,000 yen (for the 2016 academic year).
3. Honors Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students (JASSO): A support program by the Japan Student Services Organization for privately-financed international students enrolled at Japanese universities. The application procedure is provided every year in early April. The amount provided is 48,000 yen per month.
