The Faculty of Engineering aims to equip students with the academic knowledge, skills and research methods desired of researchers, engineers and designers in the field of engineering. It also aims to nurture a sense of social responsibility, sound judgment and the ability to discover and resolve practical and academic issues on their own. In order to achieve these goals, the Faculty of Engineering offers a wide variety of lectures and courses to equip students with fundamental knowledge in various specialized fields related to science and technology. In order to be able to put this knowledge to use students carry out practical exercises and experiments linked to real-world experiences, culminating in a graduation research project showcasing their four years of study. Of course it isn’t all about science and technology. Here at the Faculty of Engineering we also provide a broad curriculum to equip students with the necessary people skills to make comprehensive decisions, to see things from an international perspective and to have the knowledge and ethics necessary to be an engineer without being biased to science and technology.
The aim of the Department of Architecture is to produce outstanding individuals who can use the study of architecture to contribute to society. In particular, this Department puts an emphasis on students acquiring a solid academic foundation, which is then used in practical experiences over the 4-year course as students are nurtured into talented architects capable of responding to technological innovation in our society. All teaching staff in this Department are full-time teachers active academically in their specialist field. In addition, the Department also hires architects and specialist researchers as part-time staff to give students more information about the latest trends in the field of architecture.
Industrial chemistry is related to an array of substances and materials that are indispensable to our daily lives, such as electronic materials, ceramics, liquid crystal, batteries, fuels, plastics, fibres, rubber, dyes, paints, perfumes, cosmetics and detergents. Another important area of industrial chemistry is chemical engineering, the foundation of the development and production process of new materials and substances. Industrial chemistry plays a vital role in our lives, in fields such as energy, resources and the environment. For example, technologies developed in the field of industrial chemistry have been used for the efficient use of energy sources, reducing waste and recycling. This Department carries out top-level research activities as it strives to cultivate top-level chemical engineers who can really make a difference in these fields.

In the Department of Electrical Engineering students are educated, and carryout research in a wide array of fields, including communication, information, control, measurements, power and energy, as well as the devices and materials that are necessary to support these fields. Behind every new bit of cutting-edge technology there is planning, drafting, research, development and design, all before the manufacturing and operational processes can take place. The Department of Electrical Engineering aims to produce talented engineers capable of working on both the hardware and software necessary for each stage of this process. New technologies in the field of electrical engineering continue to be discovered and the industry desperately needs talented individuals who have the necessary challenging spirit and creativity, and these are the types of human resources this Department strives to nurture.
The Department of Information and Computer Technology strives to nurture talented individuals with the ability to utilize information to design mechanisms for the future. In order to achieve this goal students spend their first two years getting a solid hold on the basics of mathematics, physics and information engineering. In the third year students take a balanced curriculum that covers the four specialist areas of social design, data science, software design and intelligent systems. In their fourth and final year, students will belong to a laboratory, in which they will utilize their accumulated knowledge to work on a graduation research project. Carrying out a graduation research project gives students the opportunity to enhance their problem solving and communication skills, as well as their social skills. The Department of Information and Computer Technology also offers foreign language courses so that graduates can be successful in a global setting.
