The international student support team “NEXT” was formed to support new foreign students when they first arrive who may be unfamiliar with Japan's language and culture. The team members are Japanese students from Mejiro University. If there is something you need assistance for in your daily life or with language, you can consult NEXT to get advice from fellow students.
You can save on your commuting time by living in one of the university dormitories. Towa International Dormitory 1 is for male students, and Towa International Dormitory 2 and 3 are for female students. The monthly rent ranges from 40,000 to 45,000 yen and includes gas, electricity, water, and internet access fees. There is an entrance fee of 40,000 yen to be paid before moving in. Major transportation hubs such as Shinjuku and Ikebukuro are only ten minutes' travel from the train stations at nearby Nakai.
Even if you cannot speak Japanese well, please feel free to come to the International Exchange Center, where the staff can speak Chinese, Korean and English.
NEXT members play an active role in meeting new students at the airport, helping with registration procedures at ward offices, and so on.
The dormitories are fully furnished for daily life. The neighborhood is convenient for shopping and gathering ingredients for your own cooking.
The staff at the International Exchange Center are here to support your daily life in Japan.
