The center conducts advanced research to generate diversified technology seeds for hydrogen systems, including next-generation fuel cells, hydrogen production and storage technology, as well as hydrogen analysis technology.
RIES aims to study about environmental technology and systems for the pressing social needs of realizing sustainable society, with opening the door broadly to and fusion the departments of Faculty of Engineering to execute interdisciplinary research.
DRRC deals with researches on risk reduction measures against natural disasters mainly in Kyushu region and Asian monsoon region. DRRC focuses not only on academic research but also on developing practical risk reduction measures.
Contributes to the creation of a sustainable and environmentally-friendly society by advancing fundamental science for the establishment of a non-fossil based energy carrier system with efficient CO₂ capture and storage or its conversion to useful products.
