Basic Seminars – Small group sessions lead by faculty members

Basic seminars are offered as small group seminars in 1st year for all students.
To ensure students enjoy a healthy and satisfying campus life and develop fundamental skills, we give guidance on methods of learning and preparedness at university.
We also incorporate a large number of discussions into our seminars, creating a place for students to communicate with each other and form friendships.
Faculty members in charge of the basic seminars also take on the role of advisors, assisting with any concerns first-year students may have and giving support to enable students to live a fulfilling campus life.

Student Support Facilities – Your one-stop support center from admission until graduation.

The student office and career center, faculty support center, medical office, and other support facilities for students are located together in one building, allowing students to receive the necessary support from the time they enter university until they graduate.
The library building provides a one-stop learning center, with the learning commons and study support center providing students with a convenient environment conducive to learning.

Strategies for national examinations

Through detailed guidance and a quality learning environment, we offer support so that all our students will be eligible to gain specialized qualifications, establishing from early-on an in-depth support framework for preparing to take national examinations and other certification examinations.
An individual support system has also been established in which faculty members assigned to graduation research seminars give guidance to students on the three major areas of graduation research, job-hunting activities, and strategies for taking national examinations and other certification examinations.

Collaborative comprehensive seminars, one of the distinguishing approaches in our university’s inter-professional education, are offered in student’s 4th year.
We also develop supporting measures through group work looking at specific case histories in teams composed of students from different departments.

All departments offer overseas study programs, and students are given opportunities to proactively participate in these overseas programs.
Study programs include language study and cultural exchange as well as visiting medical facilities and attending classes at overseas universities. Experiencing clinical settings different to those in Japan cultivates a sense of responsibility and readiness for future professions.

The career center provides individual meetings so that every student wanting to find employment can reach their dreams. Career guidance is tailored to the student’s preferred prefecture, region, job type, institution type, and preferred conditions.
We also provide detailed support for passing recruitment examinations, including guidance on resumes writing and business manners, self-evaluations, and mock interviews.
