It seeks international students by pre-arrival admission, who have studied some Japanese and have a level equivalent to N2 of the JLPT. After enrollment students spend their first year taking intensive Japanese language and culture courses, moving on to study their specialized areas with Japanese students in Japanese from their second year onwards. “Pre-arrival Admission” is based on results of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (taken outside of Japan), screening of application documents and an interview. Students can successfully gain admission without having to take an examination in Japan.
