This course's program goal is to foster the necessary Japanese language proficiency in international students who aim to study at one of Japan's universities or graduate schools. It also instills in-depth understanding about Japanese culture and society to promote communication and a smooth transition to life in Japan.
In the special course, Japanese language is improved systematically in accordance with students' abilities.
Moreover, the students can prepare for the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU)*1, which measures the required proficiency for enrolling in Japanese universities.

This course aims to promote in-depth knowledge about Japan, and includes studies in Japanese geography, industry, history, and current affairs.
These subjects are included in the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Student (EJU) and in the entrance examinations of Japanese universities.
1. The Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU)
Since 2002, the examination is carried out twice a year (in June and November) as a criterion for admission to private and public universities (Depending on the university, some do not require it). Japanese language examinations are the basis for evaluating Japanese proficiency and basic academic skills of international students and as per its description, there are listening and reading comprehension questions.

2. Written Expression
Depending on the skill level, writing practice is carried out to enhance students' writing ability. In the advanced class, summarization of long compositions is practiced to enable students to write reports at their university.
In the previously-used "Privately Financed Foreign Students Integrated Examination", English was included as a subject, but it is not in the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU). However, many universities include English in their entrance examinations. Even after admission, it becomes a compulsory subject because it is considered important in the learning process.
