【The 3 Best Things About English MBA Programs in Tokyo】by Hosei University
The Hosei Business School of Innovation Management (HBS/IM) started offering a new Global MBA program (GMBA) in September 2015.
Students enrolled in this 1.5-year course will study Japanese business practices, Japanese companies, and Japanese management styles in the English language.
Since its inception, the HBS/IM has focused on producing graduates who have a thorough understanding not only of the major companies, but also of the small and medium-sized enterprises in Japan. In accordance with globalization, a program taught in English has been added to our existing Japanese curriculum (one-year full-time MBA course and two-year MBA for working professionals).
The Business School of Innovation Management has several diverse programs for meeting the contemporary needs of the business world. There are three core aspects common to these programs, as follows:
1. Enhancing management knowledge for small- and medium-size businesses
2. Providing MBAs that feature an expertise in IT
3. Teaching methods that employ project-based, practical learning
Project-based learning is considered the most prominent characteristic of our programs. Throughout the course of a project, students bring together knowledge gained from lectures together with their own ideas, and under the guidance of their supervising faculty, formulate business plans, carry out research, and develop methods for achieving their goals. While studying the research and business cases of others are important aspects for any MBA program, the project-based study promoted by the Business School of Innovation Management requires students to understand and critically think about the present in order to determine their own futures.
You will be able to join our international students, most of whom have come from around Asia, to learn together and share thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of Japan’s management styles to drive your projects forward.
We would like to invite you to join us as we challenge ourselves in projects of our own designs using methods we create as we aim to realize our goals and dreams.
