Students will be trained to develop a global outlook, to go on and become leaders who challenge social and community issues, and entrepreneurs creating business enterprises.
First-year students take English four times a week to enhance communication skills, and gain the academic skills necessary for university in the Communication Seminar.
From second-year, students are divided into three courses: Global Business Course, Entrepreneurship Course and Public Management Course. Students continue to sharpen their English language ability, in addition to honing their practical business skills, as their knowledge of specialty fields is enriched in small-group seminars.
In the overseas program for second-year students, students give presentations in English after undertaking language training, visiting local companies, and taking part in discussions about business operations and issues. Students can develop advanced practical skills in both English and business through this substantial program that includes diligent preparation and follow-up upon return to Japan (such as domestic pre-training and debriefing sessions, etc.) All second-year students, including international students, participate in the overseas program.
Small-group education matched to each student
Students will acquire knowledge related to company management including business administration, economics, accounting and legal studies, and develop management and practical skills with a global perspective necessary in the current business climate for running and bringing about change in organizations.
Students will be taught the basics of startups, business succession and revitalization. They will learn to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, developing conceptual and practical capabilities necessary for starting new business enterprises.
Knowledge essential for public management, such as administration organization and local government structural elements will provide students with the planning, proposal and implementation skills for combatting problems in their local communities. We expect to see graduates continue on career paths in administrative bodies, public institutes and NPOs.
